asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) if he will give his decision on that section of the Overstrand, Norfolk, sea defence scheme, providing for the reconstruction of the council wall, grading and drainage of cliffs, submitted to him by the Erpingham Rural District Council, on 9th December, 1953;

(2) if he is aware of the urgency of the scheme to provide new groynes and the reconstruction of Cliff Side and Sea Marge walls, being part of the Overstrand, Norfolk, sea defence plan, submitted to him on 16th October last, and considered by his senior engineering inspector; and if he will give his consent to the scheme.

My right hon. Friend has decided to approve both these schemes and the local authority have been so informed.
