§ Mr. Oliverasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to give the latest statement of contributions paid by governments of Treaty countries to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
§ Mr. NuttingThe contribution of Her Majesty's Government to the civilian budget of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation for the year 1st January— 31st December, 1954, is approximately £290,000. This represents 225 per cent, of the total civilian budget. Other member governments of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation retain authority for the publication of their own contributions. I regret therefore that I am unable to give these figures.
