§ 71. Mr. Edelmanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many affiliation orders have been made by magistrates against American Service men since 1952; how many have been enforced; and what means exist for enforcement when the Service man leaves the country.
231W
§ Sir D. Maxwell FyfeI regret that the information asked for in the first two parts of the Question is not available. There is no means of enforcing an affiliation order made by a United Kingdomcourt against a person who has left this country, but the United States authorities do all they can to persuade Service men to comply with such orders.
