Mr. Russell

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will give details of the programme for widening Hendon Way and Watford Way, Middlesex, to provide a dual carriageway.

Work is now being carried out between Mill Hill Circus and Apex Corner. I hope to authorise further lengths from time to time when funds can be provided, and the next length to be undertaken will probably be the continuation of the present work southwards to Page Street. I am unable to say, at present, when this continuation can be put in hand.
