§ Mr. H. BrookeThe deductions from stakes on horse-racing totalisators represent something between 10 and 11 per cent. of the total stakes. The deductions from stakes on greyhound-racing totalisators amount to approximately 16 per cent. 307W of the total stakes, including the deduction of 10 per cent. of the total stakes which greyhound racing companies are required to make for payment of Pool Betting Duty under Section 6 of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1947. This duty does not extend to horse-race totalisator betting.
