Orr-Ewingasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer to give an estimate of the cost to the Exchequer of ceasing to levy a Stamp Duty on the purchases of houses at less than £3,000; and whether he will consider this move to help would-be purchasers to buy their own houses in place of waiting for a house subsidised by the Exchequer.
