§ Mr. GammansBetween 1st August and 31st October this year the number of inland telegrams was 4,936,595 excluding Greetings telegrams but including the new overnight telegrams. The revenue was £965,982. The number of Greetings telegrams was 1,188,397, from which the revenue was £273,501, making a total of 6,124,992 telegrams and £1,239,483 of revenue.
In the same period last year the number of inland telegrams was 7,205,028 excluding Greetings telegrams. The revenue was £711,166. The number of Greetings telegrams was 1,638,260, from which the revenue was £208,161, making a total of 8,843,288 telegrams and £919,327 revenue.
