115. Mr. Hayman

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he has formed an estimate of the cost of installing traffic lights at Pool crossroads in Camborne-Redruth; and what proportion of the cost will fall upon his Department.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

It has not been found possible, owing to the difficult physical layout, to devise a satisfactory scheme for installing traffic light signals at this junction. Had such a scheme been possible the cost would have been about £1,500, the whole of which would have fallen on my Department.
