§ 128. Major Wallasked the Minister of Defence what action is being taken with regard to the future of the Maltese civilians now employed in the Canal Zone.
§ Mr. H. MacmillanA number of the Maltese civilians working for the Services in the Canal Zone will be found employment in Service establishments elsewhere. Any who have to be discharged will receive the gratuity for their past service for which they may be eligible, and it is hoped that many will find employment in Egypt. Her Majesty's Government will give them such assistance as is possible in obtaining further employment.
