§ Mr. J. Johnsonasked the Assistant Postmaster-General to state the number of outstanding applications for telephone service in Rugby from residential and business applicants, respectively; and how many have been outstanding for two years or more.

— Business Residential Total applications on hand 82 266 Number over two years old 16 68 Three hundred and twenty-one telephones were connected during the previous 12 months and a further 100 were in course of being met or were under inquiry on the 30th September. The rate of new demand has gone up by more than 60 per cent. in the last two years.
