Mr. Sorensenasked the Minister of Labour what information he has in respect of employers during the last year 113W refusing to employ persons on the ground of colour or race and how many incidents have been recorded of other employees resisting the employment of others because of colour or race.
§ Mr. WatkinsonI am aware that there have been, and may still be, some employers who are not prepared to consider coloured persons on their merits as workers. I have also seen reports that some employees have said that they were not prepared to work alongside coloured persons, but I have no statistics of such cases.
