asked the Minister of Education why advanced studies in commerce and management in technical colleges, are not eligible for recognition for an increased grant of 75 per cent. under his Department's Circular 255.

These increased grants are given because courses in advanced technology usually require specially heavy expenditure, especially on laboratories and equipment. This does not apply to advanced courses in commerce and management.
