asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what weight was given to food in the price index for all consumer goods and services for helping to calculate that the value of the £ had 39W fallen to 18s. 9d. from October, 1951, to September, 1954; and what weight was given to food in the Interim Index of Retail Prices used for calculating that the value of the £ had fallen to 18s. from October, 1951, to September, 1954.
