§ Mr. Teelingasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will give figures as to the total amount of Hungarian bonds outstanding in this country; and what are our total claims, including claims for compensation for the nationalisation and expropriation of British interests in Hungary.
§ Mr. MaudlingThe total amount of Hungarian sterling bonds outstanding is estimated to be in the region of £13 million, most of which is held in this country. I regret that at the present time it is not possible to give a figure for our total claims which are still under examination.
