§ 62. Colonel Crosthwaite-Eyre
asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the annual average of amounts received by this country from the United States of America, whether by loan, grant, or military aid, in the periods July, 1945, to October, 1951, and October, 1951, to October, 1953, respectively.
§ Mr. R. A. Butler
The average amount was rather more than $1,000 million per annum in the first period and rather less than $400 million per annum in the second. These figures do not include Lend-Lease supplies received between 1st July, 1945 and V-J-Day, or aid in the form of military equipment which is not evaluated on transfer.
