§ 134. Mr. J. Johnson
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many instructors and mobile vans have been 93W supplied by the adviser on technical education in British Guiana for the purpose of giving such technical instruction as is recommended in paragraph 81 (ii) of the Venn Report.
§ Mr. Lyttelton
No action has been taken on this recommendation yet. The principal of the Technical Institute responsible for the scheme left the Colony for the United Kingdom in May, 1952, and did not return. His successor took up his appointment this year and to date has been fully occupied with reorganising the Institute, which is suffering from a serious shortage of staff.
