HC Deb 24 November 1953 vol 521 c21W
Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Minister of Labour whether his attention has been called to the threat of redundancy at the British Overseas Airways Corporation, Treforest Trading Estate; and what emergency steps he is taking to ensure employment for the skilled and unskilled labour concerned.

Mr. Watkinson

Although no redundancy has been declared, my Department is in touch with the management, who will notify us in advance should discharges become necessary. The employment exchanges will, of course, take every possible step to place in other suitable employment any workers who may become redundant.
