HC Deb 19 November 1953 vol 520 cc195-6W
Sir G. Hutchinson

asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the delays which are experienced in obtaining admission to the general hospitals serving the Ilford area, he will now consider authorising the construction of a new hospital to serve this district.

Mr. Iain Macleod

I am afraid that the many other even more urgent demands on the limited capital resources available make it impossible for me to authorise the construction of a new hospital at Ilford at present.
