§ Mr. Edeasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department the balance between wastage and recruitment in each month from January to September, inclusive, in 1953, in the police forces of England and Wales, giving separately the figures for the Metropolitan Police, all the county police forces and all the police forces for cities and boroughs; and the total balance between wastage and recruitment of each group over the period between 1st August. 1951, and 30th September, 1953.
