§ Mr. Bakerasked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the need for increased home food production and the consequent necessity of conserving agricultural land, he will take steps to make the acquisition of agricultural land for defence, housing or industrial purposes subject to approval of the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries before any acquisition order of such land becomes operative.
