Darlingasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware of the decision of the Sheffield silverware manufacturers to terminate the holidays-with-pay agreement in their trade, and of the decision of the appropriate trade union to oppose this action by calling a strike; and what he intends to do to stop this dispute developing.
§ Mr. WatkinsonOfficers of my Department are in touch with the parties to this dispute and are at present endeavouring to arrange a joint meeting with a view to reaching a settlement.
