§ 88. Mr. Snowasked the First Lord of the Admiralty what progress payments have been made to the company, the name of which has been given to him, 146W during the last two years; and if he is satisfied that deliveries against the contracts involved are now being made satisfactorily.
§ Mr. DigbyOver 90 per cent. of the equipment ordered by the Admiralty from the firm in question has been received and deliveries are proceeding satisfactorily. Appropriate progress payments have been made in accordance with the terms of the contract.
§ 89. Mr. Snowasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is satisfied that his inspectors are abiding by normal practice in their duties in the case of the company, the name of which has been given to him, where a supervising staff strike has now reached its fifteenth week.
§ Mr. DigbyYes. The Admiralty inspectors are, of course, concerned with ensuring that the equipment produced by the company complies with Admiralty specifications and technical matters of that kind. They have no responsibility in the field of staff relations.
