HC Deb 04 May 1953 vol 515 c8W
64. Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that the supplies of steel allocated to the makers of agricultural machinery in Aberdeen are insufficient to enable them to complete the orders on their books; and what steps he is taking to increase the allocations of steel to them and by how much.

Mr. J. Stuart

No complaints about inadequate allocations of steel have been received in my Department from manufacturers of agricultural machinery in Aberdeen. I shall be happy to investigate any case brought to my notice.
