HC Deb 26 March 1953 vol 513 c113W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will publish in HANSARD a table of figures showing the general percentage rise or fall since October, 1951, in the price of articles and services for which his Department are responsible.

Mr. Gammans

The best indication of the general rise in Post Office charges since October, 1951, is given by an estimate of the percentage increase in total Post Office revenue resulting from the tariff changes made in the period. This average increase is about 7½ per cent.
