§ 93. Sir G. Hutchinsonasked the Minister of Transport whether he will give an undertaking not to initiate or approve any proposal to destroy the trees in any of the London squares in order to form car parks or for any other purpose.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI assume that my hon. and learned Friend is referring to the report of the Working Party on Car Parking in Inner London. This report requires the most careful consideration and if accepted would entail legislation. All relevant factors including the traditional appearance of the squares will be taken fully into account before the Government's policy is decided.
