asked the Secretary of State for War how the proportion of Territorials representing their units in London on Coronation Day compares with the proportion of Regulars other than the Guards.

Excluding troops of the Household Brigade who will be escorting Her Majesty to Westminster Abbey, the Territorial Army and the Army Emergency Reserve will provide about 44 per cent. of the officers and men of the British Army on ceremonial duty on Coronation Day.
