38. Mr. John T. Hall

asked the Minister of Health if he can now supply a bone conduction hearing aid to Mr. G. Blue, of 12, Claremont South Avenue, Gateshead, who has been on the waiting list at Sunderland Royal Infirmary since 3rd March, 1949.

Mr. Iain Macleod

This patient receives some benefit from an air-conduction aid supplied to him two years ago. There are other patients who cannot benefit at all from an air-conduction aid and who must therefore take priority. I cannot therefore say yet when his turn will come.
