HC Deb 09 March 1953 vol 512 c86W
75. Mr. Holt

asked the Minister of Supply, in view of the unemployment which has already taken place at the aluminium factory of Imperial Chemical Industries at Swansea, why he continues to retain the order which imposes restrictive controls on the aluminium industry.

Mr. Sandys

The only order now in force relating to aluminium is the Control of Aluminium (No. 7) Order, 1946. This order does not in any way restrict the output of aluminium fabricating works such as the factory referred to in the Question.
