§ Mr. Iain Macleod1952 figures are not yet available. The death rates from tuberculosis in 1951 were 315 per million for England and Wales and 425 per million for Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The notification rates were, respectively, 1.13 and 1.71 per thousand.
§ 30. Mr. R. Harrisasked the Minister of Health what facts or figures are in his possession to show whether tuberculosis is imported into this country by aliens coming to reside here; and to what extent they show this to be a source of danger to the inhabitants of this country.
