asked the Minister of Transport the density, per mile of road, of motor vehicles at the latest known date; and how this compares with 1922, 1932 and 1942.

The number of motor vehicles per mile of road was 5.4 in 1922, 12.7 in 1932, 10.3 in 1942 and 25.0 in 1952.
