78. Mr. Morley

asked the Minister of Education when she proposes to advise local education authorities to set up consultative committees composed of teachers and local officials who will make recommendations on the planning and design of new schools.

Many local education authorities make arrangements to obtain the advice of teachers and others on the design of new schools. In general I think such consultation serves a useful purpose, but that it is for each authority to consider its own arrangements.
