Mr. Awberyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies when the last periodic inspection took place of the Kandang Kerbau Women's Hospital, Singapore; if he is satisfied that the accommodation and facilities provided are up to the standard required; and how it compares with similar hospitals in Great Britain as regards operating facilities.
§ Mr. LytteltonThe Governor tells me that he is not satisfied with the present accommodation and facilities at the hospital. But a start has already been made on improvements under the medical plan. These should, during the coming year, bring the hospital up to the latest standards in this country.
