Mr. A. Evans

asked the Secretary to the Treasury if he will improve the arrangements for the collection of Income Tax from members of the theatrical profession so that they may pay their tax more promptly and more easily.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

The Inland Revenue have continuously under review the question of the most effective and convenient means of assessing and collecting tax due from this and all other professions and occupations. If the hon. Member has any suggestion that he would like to make, I shall be glad to consider it.
