Mr. G. Roberts

asked the Minister of Labour how many persons are registered as disabled by pneumoconiosis or silicosis in the areas Bethesda, Penygroes, Llanberis, Portmadoc and Pwllheli in Caernarvonshire and Blaenau Ffestiniog in Merioneth; and if he will give comparable figures for these areas for 1939, 1946, 1951 and 1952.

There were 43 in April, 1953. Figures for 1939 and 1946 are not available. In April, 1951, the number was 64 and in April, 1952, it was 48.
