§ 103. Mr. R. J. Taylorasked the Minister of Fuel and Power the amount in respect of each divisional coal board of the £50 million recently awarded by the tribunal presided over by Sir Malcolm Trustram Eve as the valuation of colliery houses.
§ Mr. Joynson-HicksThe tribunal was not appointed by my right hon. Friend but jointly by the National Coal Board and the Mining Association of Great Britain, to obtain guidance on the principles relating to the valuation of colliery houses. The district valuation boards remain responsible for the valuation of the houses for compensation purposes, but my right hon. Friend is hopeful that the issue of the tribunal's report will facilitate their task.
