HC Deb 23 July 1953 vol 518 c53W
18. Dr. Stross

asked the Minister of Health the number of centres in England and Wales in which cases of pneumoconiosis are treated by inhalation of powdered aluminium; and to what extent it is proposed to continue this type of therapy.

Mr. Iain Macleod

The Medical Research Council's trial of this treatment ended in April and conclusions as to its future usefulness must await the report. So far as is known, one privately provided centre is still using the method.
