HC Deb 21 July 1953 vol 518 cc23-4W
93. Lady Tweedsmuir

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will make a statement about the present and future activities of the Scottish Special Housing Association.

Mr. J. Stuart

The Association have since the war been authorised to build about 30,000 houses for the general population in districts where the need for houses is greatest. In addition, they have undertaken a special programme of some 10,500 houses for miners and to a limited extent they build as agents for Government

and if, in view of the features of the call-up of this man, he will have the matter investigated immediately.

Mr. Watkinson

The enlistment notice issued to Mr. Kenneth Richardson has been cancelled, and I am arranging for his medical re-examination.
