HC Deb 21 July 1953 vol 518 c13W
6. Mr. Osborne

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that the long-term credits provided for British exports to South America are not as good as those provided by Germany and the United States of America; and if he will take steps to improve them.

Mr. P. Thorneycroft

My information does not suggest that the credit terms now being offered by United Kingdom exporters to customers in South America are generally less favourable than those offered by their German and United States competitors.
