95. Mr. Marlowe

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air why No. 4036361 S.A.C. Bird, G. A., now at Royal Air Force, Changi, Singapore, has now been retained overseas for three months beyond the prescribed tour of duty of 2½ years; and when he will be returned to this country.

I understand that S.A.C. Bird is now on his way home. I will write further to my hon. and learned Friend as soon as I have been able to complete inquiries in the overseas Command concerned.
