asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, when composing his Budget. he will give special considera- tion to the possibility of repaying postwar credits to those who are in receipt of National Assistance.

The question of paying post-war credits to either general or particular classes of taxpayers is one of the matters which will be for consideration when I am framing my Budget proposals.
