Miss Horsbrugh

In January, 1952, there were 71,000 boys and 58,000 girls of 16 and over in England and Wales attending grant-aided schools and independent schools recognised by my Department as efficient. During the Educational Year 1951–52 there were, in addition, 6,000 boys and 9,500 girls aged 16 and under 18 in grant-aided and recognised establishments of Further Education.
