HC Deb 23 February 1953 vol 511 cc177-8W
44. Mr. Peter Freeman

asked the Minister of Food what is the average weight and cost of an ox; how much it costs to slaughter, skin and prepare for those countries in the period 31st December, 1950, to 3rd November, 1951. The share in the total amount of dollars made available for the purchase of sack kraft paper is proportionate to their production of paper sacks during the 36th Paper Control Licensing Period (4th March to 30th June, 1951) or the 37th Licensing Period (1st July to 3rd November, 1951), whichever was the greater. Firms who have been given a dollar import quota may spend it in non-dollar countries if they so wish.
