HC Deb 18 February 1953 vol 511 c139W
79. Mr. Beswick

asked the Minister of Civil Aviation if he proposes to hold a public inquiry into the loss of the York aircraft missing over the North Atlantic; and when the inquiry will be held.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

The question of holding a public inquiry will not be decided until I have received the preliminary report of the Chief Inspector of Accidents. This will be made immediately after the return of his investigating staff from the Azores.
