Mr. Grimston

asked the Minister of Supply when he proposes to alter the prohibited list of end uses for nickel so that British manufacturers are not at a disadvantage with other European manufacturers.

Mr. Sandys

There is still not sufficient nickel to allow restrictions to be removed entirely. I am, however, considering with my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade what relaxations can safely be permitted.
