Mr. John MacLeod

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when it is proposed to start with the construction of the jetty at Badlurach to serve the Scorraig Peninsula in Ross-shire.

Mr. J. Stuart

I hope that it may be possible to start this work in the course of this year.

Mr. John MacLeod

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether it is proposed to construct a new jetty at Shieldaig in Ross-shire as proposed by the Advisory Panel to the Highlands in their suggested 1949 list of essential piers.

Mr. J. Stuart

I have authorised acceptance of a tender by the County Council and have offered a grant towards the cost of the work.
