§ Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd1,550 megawatts were installed in 1952 raising the aggregate installed capacity of the British Electricity Authority to 17,165 megawatts at the 31st December, 1952. The varying circumstances at each station at which the plant has been installed make it difficult to calculate an exact average but it is of the order of £60,000 per megawatt.
