HC Deb 16 December 1953 vol 522 c59W
92. Mr. Gower

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General why only 120 applicants for telephones in the borough of Barry were connected during the past year; why such poor progress was made in reducing the list of outstanding applications; and what steps will be taken to increase progress during the coming year.

Mr. Gammans

We are connecting up telephones as fast as we can, and I am satisfied that Barry is having a fair share of our limited resources. As regards the last part of the Question, I would refer my hon. Friend to my reply of 9th December, 1953.
