Markhamasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what representations he has now received from the local authorities in the Woburn Sands, Buckinghamshire, area, protesting against the proposed development of that area for brick making; and whether he will set up an independent inquiry to consider the proposed changes.
§ Mr. H. MacmillanRepresentations have been received from the Newport Pagnell Rural District Council and the Woburn Sands, Aspley Heath and Wavendon Parish Councils. Planning permission for the development of this land was granted on 30th March, 1949, after the local authorities concerned had had an opportunity of stating their views, and I cannot re-open the matter now.
