asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will make a statement about the incidence of foot-and-mouth disease in Wales and Glamorgan.

Five outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease were confirmed in Glamorganlast month, four near Bridgend and one near Neath. They have involved the slaughter of seven cattle and 113 pigs. The normal movement restrictions have been imposed. There have been 17 outbreaks in Wales this year, 14 of them in Glamorgan.
