§ Sir A. Bossomasked the Minister of Agriculture why it has been found necessary to increase the number of executive officers and clerical staff in the accounts division by 34 in the year 1953–54; and what was the former total employed.
§ Sir T. DugdaleAs I said in reply to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for Eastbourne (Mr. C. S. Taylor) on 19th November, the increased estimate of staff required by my Department's accounts division resulted from the transfer of audit work from county agricultural executive committees to the central accounts division of the Ministry. The number of executive and clerical staff in the division for the year 1952–53, before the change, was 193.
